-THE ROLE; 

  • As Technical Sales Manager, you will be responsible for growing strategically important precast accounts, where you'll work closely with precast manufacturers, engineers, architects and design teams to secure early stage specification, influence product selection, providing technical guidance and drive revenue growth across the precast product portfolio. 
  • As Technical Sales Manager, you'll review architectural, structural and precast drawings, liaising closely with all stakeholders and identify new project opportunities for precast customers nationwide. 
  • You will attend pre-contract design meetings, project kick off meetings and site/office visits as required. 
  • Your range of products include concrete connectors, composite connectors, lifting inserts for concrete, used for handling panels, beams, columns and structural elements, fixing inserts and anchors, steel connectors, staircase connectors, bar couplers, reinforced steel couplers etc. 
  • As Technical Sales Manager, you'll deal with a varied customer base, from architects, structural engineers, civil engineers, Main contractors, sub contractors, precasters, brickwork contractors and design teams. 
  • Covering England, with a lot of focus on London, the Midlands, Manchester and the North West. 
  • These fixing and anchor products offer complete solutions for high rise residential construction, to non residential projects, such as hospitals, prisons, hotels, commercial warehousing, tunnels, the underground etc. The solutions range from advanced facade systems, to lift shafts, which accelerates the construction, enhances the quality and optimises performance.  

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

  • You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in the precast, structural or building envelope construction sector.
  • Experience of gaining a specification and tracking it through with the contractor and end user, in fixings, cast-in channels or precast systems or other relevant products is required.
  • Existing relationships with precast manufacturers would be advantageous, with the ability to read and interpret structural, architectural and precast drawings.
  • You'll have an understanding of load paths, fixings and typical precast build ups. 
  • Our client is keen to consider candidates from a strong technical background, perhaps working internally and keen to get on the road, or an experienced field sales professional, commercially aware, able to take ownership of client relationships and specification engagement.
  • You will be solution focused, a strong communicator, able to work well under pressure and manage multiple live projects.
