-THE COMPANY;
- Our client is a well established fall arrest contractor, with a small and close knit team.
- Offering a complete health and safety compliant solution, covering the supply and install of safety netting, double and triple handrail edge protection, stair access towers and rope access.
- Working on Industrial and commercial projects in the steel structure sector- i.e- supermarket, retail sheds and factory builds.
- THE ROLE;
- Sales Estimator - our client is a leading contractor/provider of fall arrest solutions for the Construction industry, essentially ensuring the safety for anyone working at height, these solutions include Safety Netting, Double and Triple Hand Rails, Edge Protection, Stair Access Towers, Rope Access Techniques.
- As a business they own all of their equipment and have their own fleet of vehicles (including an 18 tonne wagon) and cover the whole country
- They do lots of projects at Steel Frame stage (projects include new builds for supermarkets and Shopping Centres).
- The solutions they offer are a legal requirement and all roofing contractors take this very seriously.
- You will be mainly office based with site visits also, you will have a direct line into the MD and be trained and mentored by him.
- A large part of your role as Sales estimator is to build relationships with these roofing contractors.
- As the Sales Estimator you will working off drawings, assisting with quotations, taking the enquiry to contract award, as mentioned previously site visits will be involved, preparing quotes for new and existing clients.
- The MD will train and educate you on the business and he has over 40 years experience in the roofing and fall arrest industry.
- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;
- As Sales estimator, it would be useful if you can read plans and construction drawings.
- Site experience is hugely beneficial, perhaps you've worked as a roofer, or on a construction site.
- You will be coachable and open to being trained and developed.
- You will be self motivated - happy being on your own occasionally either in the office based near Oxford or on site.
- You will be a confident communicator, with a great attitude to learn.
- You'll have a positive approach, be IT literate, commercially aware, have good attention to detail and a sales led attitude.
- The office in based on an Industrial estate, with limited public transport links, so ideally you'll be a driver with your own vehicle. Parking is on site.
- THE REMUNERATION;
- £22,000- £28,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- 20 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays
