-THE ROLE;

  • As Lighting Designer you'll be working in a small internal team with 4 others, working on lighting projects used in the retail world.
  • Projects could range from a one off fast food establishment, to major high street fashion retailers, supermarkets, car showrooms, coffee shops, jewellery stores on one offs or roll out programmes.
  • As Lighting Designer the role involves initial concept development with the client or their in house design team, going through the lighting plans including full scheduling, lighting calculations, talking through the clients requirements and options and then on occasion attending site meetings, with some final onsite commissioning.
  • You'll develop relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • You'll be using Dialux Evo, Auto CAD, Revit and Sketchup software, with some projects having nice concepts to work with, others being multi-site "cookie cutter" type projects.
  • The projects will be mixed up to give the Lighting Designer a broad variety and interest.
  • This is a hybrid role, working 2 days per week in the office and 3 days working from home.
  • Monday to Thursday 8.30am- 5.00pm and 8.30am- 4.30pm on Fridays.

-THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • This is a fast paced, demanding role suitable for a person who can prioritise and multi-task.
  • You'll ideally have at least 1 years+ Lighting Design experience.
  • You'll be a team player with the ability to work autonomously.
  • You'll have good attention to detail and accuracy.
  • You'll have the ability to manage expectations of both internal & external stakeholders.
  • You'll thrive whilst working under pressure.
  • You'll have good verbal and written communication skills.
  • You'll have experience of working with Auto Cad, Dialux Evo and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience of using Revit & Sketchup would be preferable but not essential as excellent training is provided.

-THE COMPANY;

  • Our client is a well established, highly regarded lighting manufacturer, with long established staff and a friendly, family feel.

-THE REMUNERATION;

  • £30,000- £35,000 Basic salary dependent on experience.
  • Discretionary annual bonus.

  • 25 days holiday, plus Birthday off, which rises after 2 years by 1 day per year up to a max of 28 days, plus 8 days bank holidays.
  • Hybrid working- 2 days per week from the London office, 3 days working from home.
  • 8.30am- 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and 4.30pm finish on a Friday.
