-THE ROLE;
- As Head of Sales/National Sales Manager, you'll lead, manage, grow and develop the sales function of this multi-million pounds business.
- Being part of the Senior Leadership team you will be responsible for the performance of the internal sales team of 5, the 6 external BDMs, the key accounts, setting the commercial direction and ambition of the business.
- You will set clear sales targets and will create a positive, professional, and results led sales culture.
- You will support the team in selling our clients roofing and cladding products, typically into Agricultural Frame Manufacturers, who as an OEM/fabricator then put together a kit form building, such as a grain store, sileage store, dairy housing, parlour, slurry store, warehousing, distribution centres, storage units, manufacturing facilities etc used in farming/agricultural or industrial applications.
- You will support, coach, train and develop your team to create the demand with farmers and industrial end users and back-sell to your agricultural frame manufacturers and installers.
- Your team will be looking after an established network of clients as well as targeting for new business.
- You will hold regular sales meetings, performance and pipeline reviews as well as support your team in identifying opportunities for growth, within existing customer accounts, new customers and new market sectors.
- You'll review customer buying trends, market and competitor behaviour and support the team in growing market share across the UK.
- You'll work closely with the MD and the senior leadership team to agree sales priorities and will build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- As Head of Sales/NSM, you'll support pricing, margin management and product development discussions and work closely with the operations and supply chain teams.
-THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;
- The successful Head of Sales/NSM will have proven experience in a senior sales leadership role, managing both internal and external sales teams.
- You will have strong commercial awareness, with the ability to drive sales growth and margin improvement with the ability to set clear expectations and drive accountability.
- You'll have strong organisational, reporting and forecasting skills.
- You'll have the ability to manage multiple priorities across sales, customers and depot operations.
- You'll ideally have experience within roofing, building materials or aligned products such as metal and ideally have good contacts in or knowledge of the agricultural/farming sector or with industrial end users or construction companies.
- Although this is a national role you'll ideally be located in Southern or South West England on the M4 or M5 corridors as you'll be based at HQ once or twice per week.

- £55k-£75k Basic (dependent on experience).
