-THE ROLE;

  • As Service coordinator, your role will be to provide an efficient and professional aftersales service to the customer base within your appointed geographic region.
  • Your customer base will include private customers (the general public), plus house builders and main contractors, as well as internal customers/colleagues. 
  • Your key responsibilities as Service coordinator is to ensure that customers requests are project managed in a proficient and professional manner. 
  • You will be part of a team of 10 Service coordinators that will respond to anything from a simple enquiry for a replacement door or window handle, through to more complex warranty issues on larger commercial projects that have either hit a snag on installation, or could be a manufacturing or installation fault several years later.
  • You will typically have circa 30 live cases at any time and on a daily basis you will review your enquiries and prioritise accordingly. Works will be allocated into chargeable works and warranty works. 
  • You will be measured on providing outstanding customer/aftersales/warranty service and you will be measured on the average lead time from request to completion, quality performance, enquiry backlog, cost per service case, cost per engineer visit, warranty cost per case as good after service is critical to customer retention. A high performing department is essential for the success of the sales department. You will be closely supported by an excellent Manager. 
  • You will raise orders and update on the SAP CRM system. You will identify parts/items from standard detail. You will then make sure that engineers are scheduled to conduct any work required.
  • You will receive excellent training and support from your colleagues and the management team.
  • This is largely office based, Monday to Thursday, 8.30am- 5.00pm with 45 minute lunch break, Friday 8.30am- 3.30pm with 30 minute lunch break

-THE PERSON; 

  • The successful Service coordinator will have strong IT skills, will have worked in an office environment, would ideally have some sort of project management experience and worked in customer service/aftersales/warranty.
  • Experience in the construction industry is desirable, perhaps having worked in shop fitting, builders merchants, kitchens and bathrooms, fenestration, carpentry and joinery, or a building contractor. That said, excellent training is offered and a number of the team have come from other backgrounds, such as automotive, engineering, manufacturing and hospitality and leisure.
  • You will be able to proactively problem solve complex or technical queries. 
  • You will have the ability to calmly deal with frustrated customers over the phone and handle the emotional response.
  • You will be a good team player with a growth mindset.

-THE REMUNERATION; 

  • Basic salary of £22,000- £26,000 dependent on experience
  • Performance related bonus of up to £3,000 per annum
  • 5% employer pension contribution, 4% from employee
