The Role:
Your role as Sales Manager is to predominantly sell the company's specialist services within the construction/engineering industry, although this is a Sales Management opportunity this is somewhat of a "player manager" role, 70/80% of your role will be front line sales, selling to main and sub contractors, manufacturers and specialist fabrication businesses. The other 20/30% of your role will be managing a small team of field sales staff and also a small team of internal sales staff, assisting with any issues, offering guidance and generally driving new business opportunities.
Initially your role will be 2/3 days a week in the office or at least visiting the office at some point, when you are more established in the role and this will likely be less.
Providing management information and report sales metrics to senior management. Developing and managing the business sales strategy. Manage and develop team efficiency, productivity and personal development,
Your front line sales part of the role will be very much new business focused and in turn part of your role is to increase new business across the whole sales team.
Field/home and part office based covering London and the South East, with the candidates ideal location being Sussex or Surrey.
The Candidate:
Some field sales management experience or a real new business winner with a proven track record of sales success that is looking for that next step into management.
Must have sales experience within the Construction/Engineering industry.
Must be a new business winner and happy to lead the team by example.
Able to develop a strategy and deploy that strategy.
Intelligent, Enthusiastic and a very strong communicator.
The Package:
Up to £50k basic salary
