- THE ROLE;
- Due to growth, our client, who is a leading provider of external envelope solutions, is looking for a confident, engaging Sales Engineer to join their metal fabrication team.
- Working alongside a Technical Manager and 4 estimators, your role will be a hybrid estimator/sales surveyor, working on the fabrication division.
- As Sales Engineer, you'll be predominantly internally based, creating quotes and drawings for architects, property developers, house builders, roofing contractors and installers or a supply only, or design, fabricate and install, full turnkey basis.
- You will be designing stunning metal profiles, made from steel and aluminium used in roofline applications, fascia, soffits, wall cladding, edge trims, custom cappings, used on residential and commercial new build and refurbishment projects. Projects typically range in value from £5k-£80k+
- As part of your role, you'll work in tandem with the Business Development Manager and Technical Manager, conducting site surveys, producing professional survey reports for your clients.
- As Sales Engineer, you'll provide strong technical advice to clients, produce CAD drawings, relevant calculations and quotations, communicating effectively and in a timely manner.
- You will assist the National Fabrications Sales Manager with any upcoming enquiries, projects or sales and be open to training.
- You will attend site meetings on projects across the Bournemouth and Southampton area, liaising with customers and contractors and generate new sales.
- This is a mix of sales and design/estimating, both based in an office where the majority of your time will be spent, as well as going to site for sales and surveys quite often.
-THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;
- The successful Sales Engineer must have AUTOCAD experience and be confident with drawings.
- You must have a UK drivers licence and be happy to attend sites and conduct site surveys. Excellent training will be offered.
- You will have a CSCS card.
- You will be confident, good with customers, engaging, able to prioritise and have good design skills.
- Previous experience in fabrication, engineering, construction, roofing or facades/exterior envelope of a building would be advantageous.

- Our client is a well established, multi-million pounds turnover supplier and fabricator of external building envelope products.
- Located in modern offices, close to a retail park and seafront this is a great place to work.
- THE REMUNERATION;
- £24,000- £28,000 basic salary, dependent on experience.
- Company car.
- Monthly commission that should give several thousand pounds on top.
- 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays.
- Pension scheme of 3% from employer, 5% employee.
- Death in service.
- Monday to Thursday 8.30am- 4.30pm, Friday 8.30am- 4.00pm.
