- THE COMPANY;

- Our client is a well established, highly regarded manufacturer of specialist concrete products, used in a multitude of super-structure building applications, such as the construction of multi-storey car parks, office buildings, retail parks, residential & commercial high rise buildings, leisure centres and sports arenas.

- THE ROLE;

- Covering Essex, south Herts, East London, Kent, East Sussex and Surrey, the successful Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager will be gaining specifications or breaking competitors specifications, by promoting our clients range of specialist above and below ground concrete solutions. 

- As Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, you will be selling to specifiers, structural engineers, civil engineers, specialist concrete frame and groundwork sub contractors and pre-casters. 

- Projects could range from £10k-£200k+ and you'll be targeted to generate circa £1.4million in revenue in Year 1.

- As Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, you'll have approximately 100+ accounts on your territory and the role will be 50% development of those accounts and 50% new business. You'll be carrying out 4 quality face to face meetings per day, with 4 days on the road, one day making appointments from home. 

- You'll conduct 2 CPD seminars per week as well as provide advice to professional bodies to gain product specifications and further enhance the company's profile and influence industry issues to the company's benefit.

- You'll be pitching to project managers, quantity surveyors, estimators and buyers typically. 

- As Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, you'll be selling specialist concrete products used in a multitude of super-structure building applications, such as the construction of multi-storey car parks, office buildings, retail parks, residential & commercial high rise buildings, leisure centres and sports arenas.

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

- The successful Regional Sales Manager, Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of sales success, with a heavyside building material.

- You'll have sold to as many of the following as possible; groundworkers, civil engineers, concrete frame contractors, structural engineers, main contractors and specifiers.

- You will be a good networker, with a demonstrable track record of sales success.

- You will be chameleon like, able to confidently communicate with a structural engineer one minute and a main or sub contractor the next. Groundworkers, frame contractors, pre-casters and structural engineers are the key clients that you'll be targeting.

- You'll have a clear understanding of the procurement process/routes to market in the construction sector and be commercially aware.

- This could suit a heavyside Builders merchant or specialist distributor looking to develop their career with an ambitious manufacturer, or an engineer with a salesy attitude, or someone already selling for a heavyside manufacturer.

- THE REMUNERATION;

- £40,000- £50,000 basic

- 10-15% bonus potential

- Car allowance of £7,800 per annum.

- 25 days holiday, 5% contributory pension if matched by the employee.
