-Do you have project coordination experience with a building product? Have you worked in an architectural practice or design office or perhaps on site? Do you love to take ownership of a construction project from start to finish & have great attention to detail & excellent communication skills? We're recruiting for a hugely ambitious fenestration manufacturer that due to growth need someone like you to join their team, based in Cambridgeshire. Offering up to £28k basic, £31k ote, 33 days holiday, 37.5 hours per week. Joining a fun team. 


  • As Project Co-ordinator, you will join the Commercial new build and refurbishment team for this leading windows and entrance door manufacturer. 
  • Your role will be to liaise with the sales team, who will hand over the project to you, which could typically be on commercial projects such as schools, offices, student accommodation, hospitals, hotels. 
  • As Project Co-ordinator, you will then discuss what has been agreed with the customer and at that point, become the clients main point of contact.
  • Your responsibilities will then be varied, from understanding project timelines, product specification, liaising with the design and manufacturing team, through to getting the product to site in the agreed timescale. 
  • You will be dealing with orders from £10k-£2million+, with an average order value of £150k.
  • The Project Co-ordinator will typically run 5-10 commercial projects at a time.
  • Your key responsibility of the Project Co-ordinator is to ensure that the order is professionally fulfilled, by meeting the expectations of the customer and managing the contractual risk to the business, whilst providing a positive experience to the customer.
  • You will coordinate with the drawing office and customer and personally ensure that all relevant information is obtained to meet programme dates and deadlines.
  • You will participate in design coordination meetings and ensure all drawings are fully checked, prior to final order processing for manufacture. 
  • In essence, from the moment the sales team confirm the sale, you will see the process through from start to finish, encompassing the design, legal agreement with the window & doors buyer, credit check, coordination with the factory to confirm project dates, confirming the window delivery date with the installer and keeping the customer advised on every step of the process, typically across a 12 week period.
  • Provide support and assistance to credit control; for collection of monies, where required. 
  • You will report to a hugely experienced, very supportive Operations Manager. Your role may occasionally include you visiting sites or clients offices. 


  • The successful Project Co-ordinator will have a minimum of 12 months sales order processing or customer service experience in the construction industry.
  • You will be able to read construction drawings.
  • Experience in an architectural practice or design office would be advantageous.
  • Successful recruits in the past have come from builders merchants, kitchen design studios, window/cladding, shop fitting, office design and the roofing industry.
  • You will have excellent attention to detail. 
  • Estimating experience, technical sales/support is also desirable.
  • You are committed to delivering high quality results to customers and colleagues and have the ability to work in a deadline driven environment.
  • Fully IT literate. 
  • Further education/technical qualification in the construction/design industry is desirable.


  • Our client is a well established, highly regarded, multi-million £ turnover manufacturer of timber and composite energy, thermal and sound efficient windows and doors, used in the commercial and residential new build and refurbishment sectors.


  • £24,000- £28,000 basic (dependent on experience) 
  • Performance related bonus of up to £3K annual payment.
  • 5% Employer Pension contribution, 4% from employee.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • 25 days holiday, plus Bank holidays.
