-Do you have construction industry field sales experience, through National & Independent Builders merchants, distributors, wholesalers, stockists, timber merchants, roofing merchants, contractors & end users? Are you mechanically minded? Do you sell products by demonstration? Are you ambitious, with a track record of sales success? We're recruiting for an outstanding working at height and access solutions manufacturer, that offer an excellent career path for driven individuals. 

-THE ROLE; 

  • As Regional Account Manager, Business Development Manager, you'll be selling our clients manufactured range of working at height products, non mechanical access solutions, access towers and work platforms.
  • Covering LE, NG, LN, S, DN, WF and HU postcodes, being Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Humberside. 
  • Your role in field sales will be looking after and developing regional accounts, such as National builders merchants, independent builders merchants, trade outlets, electrical wholesalers, painting and decorating outlets, timber merchants, roofing merchants, plant and tool hire companies. 
  • Building relationships with approx 300-400 accounts on your ledger. 
  • The sales role will include product training, health and safety training for your distributors, as well as supporting some of your end users and back selling.
  • These products are used by tradespeople in any access situation, across the building and maintenance arena, such as schools, factories, hospitals, utilities, warehousing, commercial office projects etc. If you need access, you'll be buying or hiring these products. 

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

  • The successful Regional Account Manager, Business Development Manager should have a proven track record of selling into major multiples at branch level, as well as independent trade accounts, wholesalers, hire companies, as well as selling products to end users.
  • You must have career stability and a demonstrable track record of sales success.
  • You will be comfortable demonstrating products in the construction industry, be enthusiastic and memorable. 
  • You will be able to build relationships quickly as you'll be making typically 8-10 face to face/virtual calls per day.
  • You will have strong IT skills and be comfortable presenting. 
  • You will have experience of route planning and covering a good size territory and have covered as many of the following towns as possible; Leicester, Nottingham, Lincoln, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield, Grimsby and Hull.

-THE REMUNERATION: 

  • £35,000- £40,000 basic salary (dependent on experience)
  • Monthly commission, giving circa £7kpa on top. There is a commission accelerator for overachievement that gives up to £14k.

  • 25 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays
  • 3% company pension, 4% from individual
  • Fuel card, mobile, laptop.
