THE ROLE; 

  • Our client is looking for an ambitious Business Development Manager from the HVAC market, to promote an innovative range of air filter products and solutions to improve the air quality and energy efficiency of the buildings that we work and live in.
  • As Business Development Manager, you will be largely covering Northern England, from the M62 corridor, up to the Scottish borders and down to the top of the Midlands. In essence Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield, Liverpool, York, Stoke, Bolton. 
  • You will be selling our clients range of air filtration products, typically found in air handling units and fume cupboards, that increase the volume and the quality of the air that is pushed through a filter, reduce the energy used in a building and as such costs, as well as reduce the carbon footprint of the building. 
  • Products include sheet and panel filters, cartridge filters, bag filters, carbon and molecular filtration and high performance HEPA.
  • As Business Development Manager, your core route to market will be with Facilities Management companies. In addition, you will be selling to OEMS and End users. 
  • You will be building relationships with Procurement Managers, Building Managers, Environmental Managers, within End users and or Facilities Management companies. 
  • Our clients products sit at a premium price point and as such, you are often selling on a cost, benefit analysis.
  • These innovative filter systems are used across the commercial office and retail sectors, hospitals, hotels and hospitality, restaurants, museums, factories, pharmaceutical and industrial and transport hubs such as airports. 
  • Our client has ambitious plans, which could lead to Management in time. 

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

  • The successful candidate will be from the air movement market and have worked for an HVAC manufacturer, or potentially an HVAC distributor, HVAC/M&E contractor or Facilities Management company. 
  • You will be a confident presenter, capable of dealing at all levels, from the engineer on site, to the boardroom. 
  • You will be a solution led sales professional, capable of selling against cheaper alternatives and explaining the huge health, cost saving, energy saving and carbon reduction benefits to the customer. 
  • You will have a demonstrable track record of sales success in the building services/built environment.
  • You will be technically strong, have a make it happen mentality and an ambition to join a global manufacturer, with exciting growth plans.

THE COMPANY;  

  • Our client is a genuine innovator in the air movement market, with global coverage, multiple manufacturing plants and offices and a track record of looking after and developing their employees.

THE REMUNERATION; 

  • £45,000-£50,000 Basic salary dependent on experience.
  • 25% of basic salary earning potential on top, annual payment with the opportunity for top achievers to hit double bonus.
