  • As Business Development Manager, you'll work closely with the National Fire Safety Manager, supported by your internal application engineers, across the UK, with the emphasis on projects in London, the South East and Midlands. 
  • Due to business expansion, our client is looking to add a high calibre turnkey sales professional in the fire safety applications division. 
  • As Business Development Manager, you'll establish, generate and maintain relationships with current and prospective customers on smoke ventilation and fire safety projects, targeting Architects, specifiers, M&E consultants, M&E contractors, Design and Build contractors, Local Authorities and End Users. 
  • These energy efficient fans and ventilation smoke shaft solutions are used in high rise residential and commercial new build developments and underground and multi storey car parks found at shopping centres, hotels, leisure facilities and airports. 
  • Projects typically range from £50K, to several hundred thousand pounds. 
  • You are selling life saving, energy and space saving air movement and extraction solutions, often assembled offsite, which in addition, also gain labour cost savings. 


  • Our client is looking for a candidate with relevant smoke ventilation systems experience, ideally with a proven track record of sales. 
  • They will also consider a smoke ventilation professional, perhaps having worked in a project management or technical support role for another manufacturer, or a smoke contractor or M&E contractor, with a sales led, results driven personality and a desire to move into sales. 
  • An engineering qualification is preferable, as you will need to have a technical/mechanical outlook to succeed. A solution led professional, with excellent attention to detail. 
  • You will be a great team player, results driven, looking for a long term career, as our client offers outstanding training and career development.

  • Basic salary of circa £45K- £50K (potentially more for an outstanding candidate)
  • Quarterly open ended commission scheme, giving a realistic £15k+ earnings potential in Year 1.
