THE COMPANY;

- Due to growth, our client, who is a well established bathroom products manufacturer, is looking to appoint a specification/project led Business Development Manager to spearhead the business in London and the Home Counties. 

- They sell in the medium to high end market and turnover several million pounds. 

- They have an exciting 5 year vision, so this is a fantastic time to be joining the business.

THE ROLE; 

This is a pioneering role, as you will be the company's first Business Development Manager for London and the South East. 

- As specification led, Business Development Manager, you will have a handful of established Regional House Builder, property developer, M&E contractor and design and build contractors and occasionally Architects and specifiers accounts to nurture and grow, with the key emphasis being on targeting new business, following up on glenigan leads, looking for referrals, networking etc.

- You will be selling baths, showering, sanitaryware, brassware, heated towel rails, wc, wash hand basins, shower valves, shower heads and accessories, typically gaining specifications on projects with 10-100 house plots and 20-200 apartments. Projects could range from a few thousand £ to hundreds of thousands of pounds.

- You will be gaining specifications and tracking through on new build residential homes, as well as office to residential conversions and occasionally hotel projects. 

- As Business Development Manager, you will build relationships and target new accounts across the regional house builder, property developer, design and build contractor, M&E contractor and architect and specifier space. You will typically influence commercial directors, buyers, technical managers and designers. 

- This role is very new business focused, raising the brand awareness and educating all parts of the buying chain. 

- You will be covering London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex mainly. 

- You will also on occasion represent the company at networking events, exhibitions and conferences.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

- The successful Business Development Manager will have a proven track record of sales success with House Builders, property developers and ideally M&E contractors, in the residential new build market.

- If you have sold in the KBB or home improvement market then superb, although experience of selling other products into this route to market will also be considered.

- You will be a great relationship builder, a consultative seller, able to promote quality design led products with confidence.

- You will be IT literate, goal driven, looking for a long term career, with good stability and progression to date. 

- You will be articulate, smart in appearance, who will be a great ambassador for the brand. 

- You will be new business focused and well networked, able to target your own customer base from day 1.

- An excellent 2 week induction program is offered, with good ongoing sales and product training and career growth.

THE REMUNERATION; 

- £45,000- £50,000 Basic salary, dependent on experience.

- Circa £5k-£10k+ commission potential on top, paid monthly

- Choice of company car up to £30k value (VW type company car), fuel card

- 23 days holiday, plus 8 bank holidays.
