THE COMPANY: 

Our client is a small, but growing manufacturer of timber windows and doors, such as entrance doors, bi-fold doors, sash windows, timber casement windows, french doors, in bespoke designs and colours. 

- Due to considerable investment, they are looking for their 1st Area Sales Manager, to join the company.

THE ROLE; 

- As Area Sales Manager, you will follow up on leads that have come in from their advertising, marketing, referrals & trade shows, ascertain your potential customer's requirements and then visit the property, to discuss design, colours, ironmongery choices, measure up, price and then present usually at the 2nd meeting and close.

- 95% of the role will be selling to the general public, with 5% trade, such as property developers and house builders. 

- Covering West London, North West and North London, South West and South London predominantly, with the occasional Home Counties project.

- As Area Sales Manager, you'll also go through local planning applications and then approach those homeowners, to discuss your fenestration offering. 

- As Area Sales Manager, you are selling a medium to premium priced product, where quality and service is paramount. 

- Order values range typically from £5k- £80k, with the average order value being circa £15k-£20k. 

- The year one target will be £1million and for achieving that, you'll earn £40K in commission.

- This role is Monday to Friday, with a very occasional Saturday appointment at your discretion.

- Typically you'll be on the road in front of customers 2.5 days per week and 2.5 days following up on leads, setting appointments, doing pricing and quotations, design etc.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

- The successful Area Sales Manager will have a track record of sales success in the fenestration industry, ideally with timber products. 

- Successful B2C sales professionals in the home improvement market, such as kitchens, conservatories, bathrooms, home extensions, loft extensions etc would also be good. 

- You will be a confident, engaging, consultative sales professional, with a keen eye for design. 

- You'll be IT literate, enthusiastic, with a working knowledge of building regulations, planning laws and conservation planning laws. 

- A knowledge of the new build marketplace would be advantageous. 

THE REMUNERATION; 

- Basic salary of £30,000- £40,000 dependent on experience.

- Open ended monthly commission, circa £40K for hitting £1million target.

- 20 days holidays, plus Bank holidays.

- 45p per mile fuel reimbursement as you'll need to run your own car.

- 3% pension contribution, laptop.
