THE ROLE; 

  • This is an exciting role, where you'll be the London and South East Retail Area Sales Manager.
  • As Retail Area Sales Manager, you will be given circa 200+ existing trading accounts, being bathroom showrooms, bathroom retailers, boutiques and independent plumbers merchants, that have accounts and have stocked and bought products from the brochure. This is the chance to offer them real face to face attention and care and build each account. 
  • You'll be selling a broad range of medium to high end bathroom and sanitary-ware products, such as baths, showers, brassware, heating, accessories, towel rails, mirrors, cabinets etc.
  • As Area Sales Manager, you will build relationships with those accounts, gain displays, introduce new lines, product training etc, conducting several face to face visits per day. 
  • Our client is innovative, so virtually every month you'll be introducing new product lines.  
  • Your role will include gaining space within the retail showroom/merchant/bathroom retailer, developing and retaining customer loyalty and showcasing the products and demonstrating the many benefits of working with our client.
  •  You will also be tasked in identifying potential new customers. 
  • The KPI's for the Business Development Manager will include achieving monthly sales targets, displays gained, new accounts opened and product training completed. 
  • This is a home/field based role, making up to 4 face to face meetings per day.
  • You will be covering all of London, Kent, Surrey, East and West Sussex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Essex mainly, so must live on patch. 
  • You will also on occasion represent the company at networking events, exhibitions and conferences.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE; 

  • The successful Retail Area Sales Manager will ideally have a track record of sales success in the KBB arena, although good sales experience through the retail/showroom/distribution channel will also be of interest as our client offers excellent product training and support.
  • You will have good experience selling into bathroom showrooms or retailers or independent merchants.
  • You will be a great relationship builder, a consultative seller, able to promote quality design led products with confidence.
  • You will be IT literate, goal driven, looking for a long term career, with good stability and progression to date. 
  • You will be articulate, smart in appearance, who will be a great ambassador for the brand. A real people person, who cares about the customer.
  • You will be coachable, with a willingness to learn.
  • No flashy salespeople, a humble approach, keen to build strong and long term relationships.

THE COMPANY;

  • Due to growth, our client, who is a well established bathroom products manufacturer, is looking to appoint a Retail Area Sales Manager for London and the Home Counties. 
  • They sell in the medium to high end market and turnover several million pounds. 
  • They have an exciting 5 year vision, so this is a fantastic time to be joining the business.

THE REMUNERATION; 

  • £35,000- £45,000 Basic salary, dependent on experience.
  • Quarterly bonus, giving on target earnings of circa £12k.
  • Good range of company cars, including electric/hybrid, or £500 per month allowance.
  • 23 days holidays, plus 8 bank holidays.
  • 3% employer pension contribution.
