- THE ROLE;

- This is an exciting & challenging career opportunity, where your mission is to help our client grow into one of the most recognised brands in the roofing industry. 

- As Area Sales Manager, you will be selling timber roof windows and accessories, into roof window installers, house builders, contractors and jobber builders to generate the demand and either sell directly, or backsell through your building suppliers, builders merchants, roofing merchants and distributors.

- As Area Sales Manager, you will be building relationships with existing customers, running trade mornings, offering product training and demonstrations, as well as targeting a large database of customers that haven't as yet been educated on the huge cost, service and product benefits of our clients range of products. 

- You will typically be on the roads 4 and a half days per week, making 18 face to face meetings per week. 

- You will be focused on accounts in London and around the M25, although your territory stretches from the Wash to Southampton, so includes Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire, Berkshire, Middlesex, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hertfordshire, Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk,Cambridgeshire and Bedfordshire.

- You will have total account management, including credit control and marketing activities. 

- As Area Sales Manager, you will report on competitor activity, maintain industry knowledge by reviewing professional publications, establish personal networks and attend industry related events. 

- You'll attend trade shows and conferences as required and will work closely with your colleagues across the country. 

- As the manufacturer, you will do joint calls with and support your distributor/builders merchant/roofing merchant.

- THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE;

- The successful Area Sales Manager will be ambitious, with a demonstrable track record of sales success in field sales.

- You will ideally have experience of generating demand with the installer/contractor.& have worked for a manufacturer, builders merchants, distributor or stockist. The role is 60% contractor focused, 40% distributor. They offer superb training, from both a sales and practical perspective & will consider candidates from outside the construction industry, if you have a winning attitude, are coachable and can demonstrate sales ability.

- You will possess an enthusiastic "do it now" attitude and be aspiring, target driven and self motivated.

- Experience of a building product such as plasterboard, insulation, roofing, timber, bricks, blocks, fascias, soffits, would be advantageous, although construction sales experience isn't a prerequisite, if you have an inquisitive nature, a growth mindset and a passion to succeed.

- You will have the skill to communicate professionally across multiple levels of the business.

- You will be IT literate and a good team player.

- You will thrive on guidance and team support and be coachable.

- THE REMUNERATION;

- Basic salary of circa £35,000 (possible flexible for a star candidate)

- Mix of monthly and annual bonus potential, part team based, of up to 35% of basic

- Skoda Octavia company car

- Fantastic pension options of either 5% from you, 10% from the client, or 7% from you, 12% from the client.
