THE ROLE; 

  • As Account Manager, you will be selling our clients market leading range of external wall insulation, rainscreen cladding, facade renders, decorative panels and brick slips.
  • The Account Manager/Business Development Manager, will work in tandem with the specification team on the larger projects, as well as on occasion gain your own specification on smaller projects, with the key focus being on having commercial conversations and winning orders with external wall insulation contractors, facade contractors, installers, sub contractors and applicators. 
  • Projects will range from a few thousand pounds to several hundred thousand and will cover all types of residential developments, education, schools, college and University buildings, railway station upgrades, hospital projects, hotels, commercial offices, galleries, the list is extremely varied.
  • The Account Manager will be covering the Northern Home Counties, East Anglia, the Midlands, across to mid Wales, so towns include Watford, Luton, Harrow, Stevenage, Colchester, Ipswich, Norwich, Peterborough, Hemel Hempstead, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Coventry, Leicester, Birmingham, Derby, Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury, Hereford, Llandrindod Wells, Walsall and Stoke on Trent.
  • The role will be a mix of account management and new business and is likely to be 3 days on the road, 2 days planning and follow ups.

THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:

  • The successful Account Manager/Business Development Manager will have a dynamic, can do attitude and be able to demonstrate achievement in their sales career to date.
  • You will be a friend maker and good relationship builder, confident in the cradle to grave sales process, or in protecting a specification passed to you by a colleague, through to the contractor/order stage, or in breaking another manufacturers specification. 
  • You will be IT literate and confident in demonstrating products face to face and via video interaction. 
  • If you've sold a product in the exterior building envelope, into main contractors, sub contractors, cladders and installers, that would be advantageous, although great product training is offered. You must have a construction sales background.

THE REMUNERATION; 

  • Basic salary of £35k-£40k dependent on experience
  • Monthly commission on all sales with no threshold and an accelerator for over achievement.
  • Year 1 ote of £55k-£58k. Our client may guarantee commission for the right candidate.
  • Others in the team are earning £70k+, so a big opportunity for over achievers.
  • 20 days holiday rising with service, plus bank holidays
